Based off the US Army’s new XM7 rifle, the MCX SPEAR utilizes the 6.8×51 hybrid ammunition. The 6.8×51 cartridge is capable of muzzle velocities in excess of 3,000 fps with a 113 gr bullet from a 16″ barrel. The performance of this cartridge achieves the Army’s goal of advanced performance while exceeding requirements for durability. Now available for the civilian market, the 6.8×51 MCX SPEAR still allows for the modularity of the current SPEAR and accepts available caliber conversions.
Additional features include a coyote anodized finish, ambidextrous bolt catch/release, rear and side charging handle, folding and collapsible stock, gas piston operation and SLX/SLH suppressor compatible QD flash hider.
