Offered in .277 SIG Fury, the CROSS 277 Fury delivers magnum performance in a lightweight package. This cartridge features increased velocity for faster flight time with reduced effect of environmentals.
The Cross was designed and built from the ground up at the Sig Sauer research and development facility in New Hampshire with input from hunters, military snipers and elite long-range shooters. Weighing in at 7 lbs the Cross is ideal for precision long range or extreme backcountry shooting. A 1-piece receiver allows for increased accuracy while a folding precision stock lets the user fine tune adjustments.
The SIG .277 Fury was developed for a military contract specifically Sig’s belt-fed machine gun entry. This cartridge offers more power while being lighter than comparable cartridges. The .277 Fury round with a 140-grain bullet allows for a velocity of 3,000 fps through a 16″ barrel, significantly more than a 6.5 Creedmoor round shot through the same barrel length. The casing is proprietary and is registered with SAAMI, this round also can be loaded in 7.62x51mm AICS magazines.
