The SIG SAUER M17, based on the P320 platform, won the U.S. Army’s Modular Handgun System (MHS) contract after an extensive review process. Recognized for its modularity, performance, and capability, the commercial M17 closely mirrors the Army’s version. It is a 9mm, striker-fired pistol, equipped with one 17-round and two 21-round magazines, a coyote-tan PVD coated stainless steel slide, and compatibility with the ROMEO-17 red dot optic. The pistol also includes a SIGLITE front night sight, removable Night Sight rear plate, and a coyote-tan grip module.
